DIPHU: A delegation of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) led by Chief Executive Member (CEM), Tuliram Ronghang met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday. They submitted a memorandum for immediate implementation of Article 244(A) of the constitution for creation of an autonomous state for the hill districts of Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong and NC Hills in the state of Assam, full implementation of MoU signed in 1995 and MoS of 2011 and 2021 signed by different armed groups with the state and Central government, sanctioning of special grant-in-aid for all-round development of the two hill districts of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong and direct funding from the Central government.
