Noles Distance Crew Leads the Way on Final Day of Competition

LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 13/26 Florida State track and field teams wrapped up competition at the Texas Tech Open and the Bob Pollock Meet on Saturday. The Noles once again tallied several top 10 performances and personal bests. Bob Pollock Meet The distance crews shined once again on Saturday at the Bob Pollock Meet on Saturday afternoon. Adriaan Wildschutt broke the school record in the 3000m run with a time 7:52.80 breaking the previous record of 7:53.97 held by Luke Gunn in 2008. Right behind Wildschutt was Ahmed Muhumed who clocked in the third-fastest time in FSU history at 7:54.66. In the women’s 3000m, it was Lauren Ryan cruising to victory with a facility record time of 9:07.19. Alyson Churchill followed closely behind with a time of 9:09.73 which also broke the facility record. No 13/26 Noles Continue Indoor Season at Texas Tech and Clemson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 13/26 Florida State track and field teams will continue their indoor season this Friday and Saturday at the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock, Texas, and the Bob Pollock Meet in Clemson, S.C. The Noles will send primarily sprinters and jumpers to Lubbock while the distance runners and the throwers will head to Clemson. The Texas Tech Open will be streamed live on ESPN+. Quick Sprints The Bob Pollock Invite is the third and final time the Noles will travel to Clemson this season. The Noles previously traveled to Clemson on Dec. 3 for the Clemson Invite and on Jan. 14-15 for the Clemson Opener. The Noles will be one of eight Power Five teams to compete at the Texas Tech Open. Head Coach Bob Braman enters his 18th year as the head coach of the Florida State track and field team. Braman has won 14 (10 men’s, 4 women’s) outright ACC Indoor Championships. Odiong and Swint Named ACC Indoor Track Performers of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State track and field athletes Don'drea Swint and Edidiong Odiong were both named ACC Indoor Track Performers of the week by the Atlantic Coast Conference Tuesday afternoon. Both Don'drea and Edidiong ran amazing races last weekend, Head Coach Bob Braman said. Both are in the top four in FSU history in their respective events which is really impressive for a season-opening race. Both athletes had stellar performances this past weekend at the Clemson Invitational. Swint clocked the third-fastest time in FSU history in the 60m dash on Friday with a time of 6.53. Swint's time leads the ACC and is third nationally. Swint's previous top time was 6.63 at the Bob Pollock Invitational last January in Clemson. This is the second time Swint has been named the ACC Indoor Track Performer of the week with his first honor coming on Feb. 3, 2021. Noles Wrap Up Clemson Invite on Saturday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Florida State track and field team wrapped up the Clemson Invite on Saturday. The team picked up four first-place finishes and 11 personal bests on the weekend, kicking off their spring season on a high note. The Seminoles dominated in the sprints this weekend with first-place finishes from Don’drea Swint and Trey Cunningham on Friday followed by Edidiong Odiong on Saturday. Jacore Irving started the day for the Seminoles with a second-place finish in the men’s triple jump with a mark of 15.67 meters, just 0.2 meters behind the first-place finisher. Ruby Stauber earned third place in the women’s 800-meter run with a time of 2:07.68. Stauber is a graduate student transfer from Vanderbilt and today was her first competition in the Garnet and Gold. CLEMSON, S.C. – The Florida State track and field team kicked off their spring indoor season at the Clemson Invite at the Rock Norman Indoor Track and Field on Friday, Jan. 14th. 16 Seminoles competed today, garnering three first-place finishes and numerous personal bests along with many first-time event competitors. Lauren Ryan started the meet off with a first-place finish in the mile. This was Ryan’s first time competing in the mile, setting a personal best time of 4:38.60. Ryan’s time ranks 10th in the top 10 all-time for Florida State. Florida State’s Trey Cunningham was the favorite coming into today’s meet to win the 60m hurdles. Cunningham took the world-lead in the preliminary heats with a time of 7.56 and proceeded to win the event with a time of 7.57.
