No 13/26 Noles Continue Indoor Season at Texas Tech and Clemson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 13/26 Florida State track and field teams will continue their indoor season this Friday and Saturday at the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock, Texas, and the Bob Pollock Meet in Clemson, S.C. The Noles will send primarily sprinters and jumpers to Lubbock while the distance runners and the throwers will head to Clemson. The Texas Tech Open will be streamed live on ESPN+. Quick Sprints The Bob Pollock Invite is the third and final time the Noles will travel to Clemson this season. The Noles previously traveled to Clemson on Dec. 3 for the Clemson Invite and on Jan. 14-15 for the Clemson Opener. The Noles will be one of eight Power Five teams to compete at the Texas Tech Open. Head Coach Bob Braman enters his 18th year as the head coach of the Florida State track and field team. Braman has won 14 (10 men’s, 4 women’s) outright ACC Indoor Championships. Ryan Breaks School Record in Boston

BOSTON, Mass. - Lauren Ryan wasted no time sketching her name into the Florida State track and field record books, as Ryan broke the school record in the 5000m run Saturday evening at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, Mass. Lauren did a fantastic job in the 5000m run tonight in Boston, head coach Bob Braman said. Many of the best runners in the country were competing, and she finished seventh among collegiate athletes. Her time will likely qualify her for the NCAA Indoor Championships. In just her second indoor meet as a Seminole, the Brighton, Australia, native broke Militsa Mircheva's record of 15:43.30, which she set in 2019. Ryan posted a time of 15:40.40 to finish ninth in the field. Ryan is now the fourth current Seminole to crack the top 10 list in the 5000m run, joining Rebecca Clark (No. 5), Elizabeth Funderburk (No. 7) and Alyson Churchill (No. 9).
