Odiong and Swint Named ACC Indoor Track Performers of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State track and field athletes Don'drea Swint and Edidiong Odiong were both named ACC Indoor Track Performers of the week by the Atlantic Coast Conference Tuesday afternoon. Both Don'drea and Edidiong ran amazing races last weekend, Head Coach Bob Braman said. Both are in the top four in FSU history in their respective events which is really impressive for a season-opening race. Both athletes had stellar performances this past weekend at the Clemson Invitational. Swint clocked the third-fastest time in FSU history in the 60m dash on Friday with a time of 6.53. Swint's time leads the ACC and is third nationally. Swint's previous top time was 6.63 at the Bob Pollock Invitational last January in Clemson. This is the second time Swint has been named the ACC Indoor Track Performer of the week with his first honor coming on Feb. 3, 2021. Jones, Hrastar Garner ACC Weekly Awards THE FLATS – Kenya Jones and Ava Hrastar were recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference Tuesday afternoon for their outstanding season-opening performances, earning ACC Player and Co-Freshman of the Week honors, respectively. The 12th-ranked Georgia Tech women’s tennis team opened the 2021 campaign going 3-0 in dual matches, winning the ITA Kickoff Weekend and securing a berth to ITA National Team Indoor Championships. Jones and Hrastar both posted 4-1 singles records to open the season as Tech picked up wins over Memphis, No. 14 South Carolina and No. 6 Duke. After dropping her first match at the Bulldog Kickoff, No. 13 Jones has posted four-straight singles wins, including defeating two ranked opponents.
