LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 13/26 Florida State track and field teams wrapped up competition at the Texas Tech Open and the Bob Pollock Meet on Saturday. The Noles once again tallied several top 10 performances and personal bests. Bob Pollock Meet The distance crews shined once again on Saturday at the Bob Pollock Meet on Saturday afternoon. Adriaan Wildschutt broke the school record in the 3000m run with a time 7:52.80 breaking the previous record of 7:53.97 held by Luke Gunn in 2008. Right behind Wildschutt was Ahmed Muhumed who clocked in the third-fastest time in FSU history at 7:54.66. In the women’s 3000m, it was Lauren Ryan cruising to victory with a facility record time of 9:07.19. Alyson Churchill followed closely behind with a time of 9:09.73 which also broke the facility record. Maudie Skyring (9:21.08) and Amanda Beach (9:27.28) finished fifth and sixth, while Rebecca Clark (9:39.01) and Elizabeth Funderburk (9:40.04) finished ninth and tenth. Amani Heaven continued to have a strong season in the shot put, as she threw a personal best 15.59m to place fourth. Texas Tech Jacore Irving and Alonie Sutton led the Noles in the jumps with two top five finishes. Savy’on Toombs had a strong showing in the 200m dash running a 24.04 in her debut to finish sixth. Riley Ott continued his strong weekend in the heptathlon and broke his personal best score with 4,994 points.
