CLEMSON, S.C. - For the second consecutive-season, senior Ryuhei Azuma has been named to the All-ACC Singles Third Team as announced by the conference office on Thursday. This season, Azuma has recorded 12 singles wins for the Tigers as he primarily played on court one and occasionally played on court two for Clemson. The senior is 8-8 on court one and is undefeated on court two as he is 4-0 in the spring campaign playing number two. The Tiger was consistently ranked within the top 125 as he is currently ranked No. 94 in the nation in singles. Azuma also competed in doubles this season as he 2-3 this season with while playing alongside partners Wissam Abderrahman and Marko Mesarovic. The senior has now earned back-to-back conference honors as the Ishikawa, Japan native was all named to the All-ACC Third Team last season as he was the only Tiger to earn an All-ACC honors in the 2022-23 season. The duo of Max Damm and Wissam Abderrahman clinched the doubles point for the Tigers as Ryuhei Azuma secured the overall victory for Clemson in singles. The Mustangs took the first doubles victory of the match but Clemson was able to answer back as the freshman duo of Marko Mesarovic and Stewart Aronson recorded a win 6-3 against Maks Silagy and Julian Steinhausen. EAST LANSING, Mich. - Freshman Marko Mesarovic picked up a three-set singles victory, but Clemson fell to the 16th ranked Michigan State Spartans 6-1 in East Lansing. COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Clemson Men’s Tennis team went toe-to-toe against the nation’s second-ranked team but ultimately fell in a narrow 4-2 decision in the ITA Kickoff Weekend opener against South Carolina (2-0) in the Palmetto Series Presented by SC Education Lottery.
