Tigers Sweep Louisville 4-0, Secure Third Conference Win

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Clemson Tigers secured their first road win of the season with a 4-0 sweep over Louisville. The win marked the Tigers third conference-play victory and their 11th win of 2024 campaign. (Brandon Quote) The Tigers brought the energy early in doubles as the duo of Wissam Abderrahman and Max Damm were first to secure a victory as the took down Louisville's Nakanishi and Donnet 6-1, on court two. Louisville responded with a win on court three to even the doubles score, which left the No. 69 court one duo of Noa Vukadin and Max Smith to finish the job. With a 6-4 victory, Vukadin and Smith tabbed their 13th win of the season and awarded Clemson the doubles point as the Tigers took the 1-0 lead. Clemson continued to bring the heat in singles as the Tigers looked to secure a victory in their last road match of the regular season. SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Clemson Tigers dropped their Friday night match to Notre Dame as the Fighting Irish took the 4-1 win. Freshman Noa Vukadin recorded a singles victory on court four.In doubles, the Tigers were off to a strong start as the court three duo of Wissam Abderrahman and Max Damm secured a 6-1 win over the Notre Dame pairing of Lee and Zhang. The Fighting Irish was able to pick up wins on court one and two which allowed them to steal the doubles.The Tigers continued to battle in singles as Vukadin recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win over Notre Dame's Corsillo as the freshman only allowed his opponent to secure a single point throughout both sets.With victories on court one, three and five, Notre Dame was able to secure three singles wins to increase their lead by four and steal the 4-1 victory.Up next, the Tigers will head to Louisville to take on the Cardinals on Sunday, April 7. CLEMSON, S.C. - For the second time this season, the freshman duo of Stewart Aronson and Marko Mesarovic have been named the ACC Doubles Team of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. The weekly honor comes after the pairing went 3-0 on the court for Clemson.Opening up the weekend against Radford, Aronson and Mesarovic dominated in doubles as they were the first court to secure win by taking down the Highlander duo of Tom Saporta and Manfredi Vergine, 6-1. CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers add on to their undefeated home-streak as they run past SMU, 5-2 to secure their third victory of the weekend.
