she said one had on a bandanna and hat. he grabbed her friend s purse and pulled her toward the car. she said her friend refused to let go of the purse and they dragged her across the parking lot in the car. she was injure but her friend did not go to the hospital. san jose police are not giving many details. they say only that they are investigating an am robbery at santana row and the suspects got away in a small white four-door car. tiffany works at a local boutique and walks to her car alone late at night. that makes me scared to close especially because when i close i end at 10:00 so it is dark out. i feel safe because there is usually security but.that make me scared. the woman who was with the victim last night said she wanted to get story out because she wanted women like tiffany and other shoppers to know santana row is not as safe as it may seem. the property manager did not want to talk today. from san jose i am tiffany wilson for abc7. drivers in san jose ar
police actually arrested lewis on august 14th on unrelated charges as they were investigating these shootings. as they followed up they got a warrant and searched his house. there they say they found a handgun. they sent that gun and shell casings recovered from some of the shootings to the crime lab. there it was determined that the bullets were fired from the gun found at lewis house in four of the incidents. the shootings happened between may 4th and august 5th on blossom hill road between poughkeepsie and monterey. police also say lewis had an outstanding felony warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm. live in san jose, abc7 news. thank you, katie. four oakland police officers are out of a job this evening for their involvement in the sex scandal involving a teenage girl. ama: the punishment doesn t end there. katie is live in oakland with our developing story. katie? reporter: the mayor announced a lit knee of offenses involving these officers and man
and eastbound right before treasure island. these closures are due to the same police activity eastbound. three left lanes close, westbound right lane is closed. no estimated types of opening. another chp traffic alert was issued in fremont southbound 680 at washington boulevard. it s canceled and cars at 60 miles per hour. crews are on the scene of a big fire in san carlos. it started at a recycling plant last night. firefighters were called to the shore way environmental center. crews say they had a tough time containing it because the fire was on a conveyor belt which moved throughout the building. they were able to get it under control. no word on the cause. there s a shake-up in the oakland police department. several police officers were fired and suspended who are connected to a sex scandal. christin ayers reports. reporter: first the apology from the mayor. i am deeply sorry for the harm that this scandal has caused, particularly to community trust. reporter:
