cherry hill superintendent. it s over a history teacher who was suspended for making remarks about safety here in the wake of the school shooting that happened earlier this month. quite a few students have since come to his defense. yesterday morning, some of them gathered in the school auditorium to ask that the teacher be reinstated. followed up with a petition of about 500 signatures and here s one of the students that organized that petition. i absolutely thought something needed to be done in support of my history teacher. like i said, this man just meant too much for me to sit down and watch this injustice happen. reporter: students say they were threatened with suspension. and the cancellation of prom and a senior trip if they go through with a planned walkout this morning. we re also told that there s another walkout planned for mid-march. the day after the parkland shooting, the superintendent said that the concern was the primary focus of responsibility. a ....
