Lets get another update on weather and traffic. Well start with mike nicco. Just dialing up the latest on whats going on with harvey. And you can see right there, kind of nice comma shape to it, but unfortunately, that comma extends into that hot, it is almost hot gulf water. It was nearly 90 degrees before harvey came through there. Notice the circulation is now to the southwest of houston, and its also heading to the southeast, which means it could go back over the ocean water and pick up more of that moisture. And start depositing it in the east texas woodland areas in west louisiana. Louisiana wasnt even thinking anything about this, and now, yeah, youre going to be getting soaked. Look at this, this is future radar over the next six hours. You can see the reds and the yellows and the oranges moving more into east texas, into louisiana. So the flooding is going to shift more from houston over to places like lafayette and baton rouge and lake charles. And were going to have ourselve

Minutes. Were focusing this morning on what is happening with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. And this morning, a lot of that focus is in houston. Lets take you there and just in the last 30 minutes, houstons police chief has said they have completed 2,000 rescue missions. Fema officials estimate at least 30,000 residents will have to stay in shelters temporarily because of the catastrophic flooding. And that flooding is expected to persist. Its going to recede slowly. Rain has been pounding up to 50 counties throughout texas since friday. Officials also say refineries have voluntarily shut down. Flash flood watches have been issued in austin and also in alexandria, louisiana. A Tropical Storm warning remains in effect in houston and victoria, and parts of texas are still expecting another 25 inches of rain. Meanwhile, President Trump is at the white house this morning after spending the weekend at camp david, monitoring the latest developments in texas in the aftermath of harvey. T
