This afternoon. The threat tracker shows that there is moderate threat of any kind of localized flooding or lightning. The highest threat is for highs, strong gusty winds. A severe thunderstorm watch out already. This is the line of showers back in central pennsylvania that is approaching. This is the excessive heat warning today and tomorrow. Once the line of showers comes through thats it for the dangerous heat at least for several days. 86 right now. Wilmington, dover, millville, georgetown, a lot of places in the mid 80s. The humidity is high. It already feels like its getting close to the mid 90s. Weve got at least a couple more hours of heating. Back to the north and west showers are going to come in before we get a chance to have that feels like temperature triple digits. We have a lot of rain and showers and thunderstorms. And then it comes through the area so just about everybody is going to get rain. And then everybody is going to get significant relief from the high humidity

It was really warm and humid early in the day and then just became hotter and more humid and we hit 87 degrees at noontime 88 degrees at 1 00 and there we go. 90 degrees at 2 00 just before the storms hit because it was already down to 74 in reading and 79 in allentown when they got the storms earlier. By 5 00 its now down to 77 in philadelphia but its back up to 82 in reading and allentown. The sun coming back out, warming things up again. Upper 80s, a hot and dry end to the day. By 8 00 p. M. Mid 80s. Still pretty hot and dry. Low humidity. By 10 00 tonight, temperatures in the low 80s so very comfortable through the overnight hours. Even though the humidity is low, the heat will stay around. The 90 degree temperatures are going to stay in the forecast through the weekend.
