Not only thunderstorms, but severe thunderstorms are likely as a line of showers and storms moves to the east. Damaging winds is the greatest threat with this not the flooding like we saw yesterday. Theres even a threat of one or two tornadoes in the area by the time the day is over. The highest risk of storms as you can see, is in our part of the country. Especially from the philadelphia area, north and west, most of our pennsylvania counties, included in all of this and extreme northwest delaware. Anywhere in that yellow area has a threat for severe storms during the day today. Were dry now. Early showers moved out, so there may be clouds around. But its not going to rain for quite a while. Now, investigators are telling us this driver kept going but she was pretty quickly located, taken into custody about a mile away. This area here in hunting park is pretty industrial but there is a good amount of foot and bicycle traffic too. My reaction to this is the person should slow down and watch where theyre going. Earlier this afternoon, one man on a boat decided to jump off for a swim but never resurfaced. Rescue crews spent more than eight hours today on the water looking for this man on the delaware river. Coast guard and crews were on the water for most of the day. They found his body about 8 30 tonight. Witnesses telling authorities that the man jumped off the back of the boat but could not swim. A passing jet ski tried to help by throwing a life vest into the water. The jet ski tried to save him, but it was too late. He went under
