The Pleasant Valley volleyball team came out strong and aggressive early in its match against Chico High School on Thursday, looking to avenge its football team's shutout loss to the Panthers in Almond Bowl 52. On senior night for the PV and the final regular season match for both teams, the Vikings leaned on their seniors en route to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-19) victory on their home court of Varley Gym at PV.
The Pleasant Valley volleyball team went 6-0 in the Vikings' home tournament, the Viking Classic on Saturday at Pleasant Valley. It was the first win for PV in its home tournament since 2019. The Chico High volleyball team flew out to its last tournament of the season to attend the La Jolla Coastal Classic on Friday and Saturday in San Diego. Friday the Panthers beat Ramona and Horizon Prep, before falling to the No. 7 team in San Diego, Eastlake. The Panthers advanced to the silver bracket and lost to No. 15 ranked team in San Diego, Sage Creek, before defeating No. 18 Grant Hills.
