The Pleasant Valley volleyball team's season came to an end Tuesday when the No. 2 seeded Vikings were upset by No. 15 Tamalpais in the opening round of the CIF Division II state playoffs at Valley Gym in Chico. The Red Tailed Hawks defeated the Vikings 25-21, 25-19, 28-26 in a back-and-forth match that featured 23 lead changes in the three set match.

On senior night for the PV and the final regular season match for both teams, the Vikings leaned on their seniors en route to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-19) victory on their home court of Varley Gym at PV.
