A lot of precipitation happening. As matt has been saying at this point most of the roads are dry of the. A lot of this is just evaporating right now. Were watching it closely. If it were precipitation in the northwest at this point it would be some light snow and also freezing mix but as we look at double scan right now, our closer view we can see that its not actually raining, not reaching ground in allentown reading and lancaster right now. I think south of the city youre getting wet out here right now but it is just wet currently. Were watching though because satellite 6 and action radar showing the rain moving in and also because of the evaporative cooling coming down as sleet over the next few hours. Youre hovering around the freezing mark in allentown, 33. 35 in reading, 39 in philadelphia, 38 in millville so you see in philadelphia and areas south that we are well above freezing. So its mainly just rain along the i95 corridor and south but you can see a mix happening today and
Maybe some streets affected by that as well. In fact side streets in my section of Delaware County were ice covered this morning. 28 degrees right now philadelphia. 29 in wilmington. 26 in allentown so everybody below freezing. There is a little bit of a wind out there as well. And as we head to school or the office youre looking at 28 by 8 oclock, 37 by noon and well probably get a high around 40 this afternoon so things are going to get better and we should start to see some melting in spots that are frozen this morning. Karen, what are roads looking like early on on your traffic cams . Im watching traffic here move just fine. I think people are slowing it down a little bit because of the ice thats out there. This is Norristown Montgomery county main street at mark lee street. Were watching for some slick spots.
