Chris Jackson is headed west.
The former Michigan State cornerback announced Thursday evening he is transferring to Washington State. The redshirt sophomore entered the transfer portal on Dec. 24 after not being part of the team at the end of the season.
Jackson had 10 tackles, including two for a loss, and one pass break-up in nine career games with two starts. The former three-star recruit from Georgia didn’t play while taking a redshirt as a true freshman in 2018 and appeared mostly on special teams in five games the following year. Jackson started the first two games this season, missed the next two due to what coach Mel Tucker indicated was an injury, returned to play against Northwestern and Ohio State and was out for a Dec. 12 loss at Penn State that proved to be Michigan State’s final game of the year.
