A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper â pursuing a stolen vehicle southbound on Interstate 35 from McLennan County Monday morning â reportedly was attacked by another motorist who struck and tried to ram the trooperâs vehicle off the highway. The pursuit turned from one suspect vehicle to two as other troopers joined in on the pursuit that ultimately ended with two Dallas-area men arrested in Bell County, DPS Sgt. Bryan Washko told the Telegram. âThatâs a pretty brazen maneuver,â Washko said of the second suspectâs attempts to stop the pursuit. âThat could have led to a deadly force-type situation.â ....

Updated: 10:17 AM CDT April 22, 2021 WACO, Texas Shortly before 4:00 A.M., a call was made about a suspicious person in the 1200 block of James Ave, according to the Waco Police Department. Officers identified the suspicious person as Waco resident, 22-year-old Jake Satterwhite. According to police, through their investigation, Satterwhite was in the area to commit burglaries and had already possibility committed one. According to police, Satterwhite admitted that he was in the area to commit burglaries and that the backpack that he had stolen came out of a vehicle down the street from where they were. That item has been returned to the owner. ....
