nearby oil sheen. good evening, i m dan ashley. i m kristen sze. ama daetz is off tonight. one of them is a mile long. the other is surrounding an oil tanker at the phillips 66 refinery in rodeo. let s start with reporter laura anthony live in rodeo. laura? reporter: christien, this cleanup effort well under way. this is the marine terminal behind me. that is the ship in question and around it, we re seeing at least eight smaller vessels trying to contain and presumably clean up the oil sheen that sits here. at this point, all we know is the ship arrived monday. but we don t know how much oil is actually leaked into the bay. the coast guard is investigating, but still doesn t know if one thing led to another when it comes to connecting a mysterious odor with two oil sheens. they do seem to be tied because of the fact they happened at the same time. the mystery started when people are were calling 911 to complain of an odd odor. it was strong. it burns yo ....

destroyed. sky 7 hd was overhead after the engine compartment caught fire then erupted in flames. smoke and flames, at least the smoke could be seen as far as the east bay. witnesses caught the drama on cell phone cameras when the fire broke out. the van driver was not getting gas at the time we were told but had stopped for a drink. moments later the fire broke out. a quick thinking gas station attendant cut power to the gas pumps and the fire chief says that was exactly the right thing to do. the owners of the gas station did the right thing. they hit a switch that shuts off the gas pumps which eliminates that from being a hazard for us. so the only has start here was to the property, itself, and s dealt with appropriately. reporter: this is a very busy gas station. there s a food mart, a coffee place and also a burger king. the manager of the burger king saw the flames. he told his employees and all the customers inside to get out as quickly as they could. and ev ....
