ANPSA holds state-level literary competitions

Dimapur, Oct. 26 (EMN): Lokhemi Achumi and Chothanu Kharutso from Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima, won the first prize of the state-level quiz competition organised by All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) held at NBCC Platinum Hall in Kohima on October 20. An update from ANPSA informed that Manchem Chang and Shahida Sultana from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, secured the second  position, while Ansh Singh and Santosh Nayak from Agape Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima, secured the third position. It stated that a sum of INR10,000, INR 8,000 and INR 6,000 were given away to the winners along with certificates. In the extempore speech contest, Lithang Tungoe from Perennial School, Wokha, secured the first position, while Kilini P Zhimo from Cornerstone Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto, and Kekhriesinuo Sekhose from Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima, secured the second and third position respectively. Teaching facilitates generational changes — Sharma

Our Reporter Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN): Director General of Prisons, Home Guards & Civil Defense and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Rupin Sharma, on Monday said teaching is a profession which facilitates generational changes. The senior police officer was addressing the first Chümoukedima district-level Teachers’ Day celebration, jointly organised by department of School Education and All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association, as guest of honour at CTC hall Chümoukedima. Teachers' Day celebrated across Nagaland

EM Bureau Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN): Teachers’ Day was celebrated across the state to pay tribute to teachers and also to commemorate the birth anniversary of noted scholar and the former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Besides the official Teachers’ Day programme in all the districts, private schools and educational institutions also celebrated the day in their respective institutions. Dimapur: Dimapur district observed common Teachers’ Day celebration at Kuda Youth hall with retired director of higher education, Nagaland, Kuholi Chishi, as special guest. Kuholi in her address reminded the teachers to be well informed, live with integrity and be a teacher of all seasons. Nagaland: ANPSA Kohima unit organises music contest

Our Correspondent Kohima, Aug 29 (EMN): The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Kohima unit in collaboration with Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) organised a music contest at RCEMPA, Jotsoma on Aug. 27. Gracing the inaugural function advisor, TaFMA, Nagaland, Theja Meru, challenged the students to work hard to excel in their academic career while expressing that hard work is the key to success. 16 schools participated in double quartet, eight schools in guitar ensemble and 24 schools in solo competition. ANPSA units conduct literary competitions

Dimapur, Aug. 28 (EMN): Dimapur unit of the All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) organised a district level literary competitions (quiz and extempore speech) on August 26. An update from ANPSA stated that more than 700 students, teacher representatives and board members from 18 schools have participated in the competition. It stated that Rev. Fr. Philip Y, principal of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, delivered the welcome address as convenor, while Neena Dutta, ANPSA treasurer and principal of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, delivered the vote of thanks. In the quiz competition, Manchem Chang and Shahida Sultana from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School secured the first position, while Elijah Ronren Kikon and Debashree Hazarika from Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, secured the second position.
