Zunheboto district forms no tobacco club

DIMAPUR The Zunheboto district no tobacco club comprising members from Cornerstone Higher Secondary School, Immanuel Higher Secondary School and Olympic Higher Secondary School was formally launched on Saturday at Cornerstone Higher Secondary School with its motto “Rejuvenation.” The main motive of the club was to create awareness about the harmful impact of tobacco and to encourage and stop people from consuming those addictive and harmful tobacco products, stated an update issued by media cell of no tobacco club. Dr. Esther Chopy Ngullie, who was the special guest of the launch programme, spoke on the importance and advantages of leaving tobacco substances. She has appreciated the students for setting up such club in the district, which was one among the first club in the entire state. She also spoke about the harmful effects of consuming tobacco and how it could cause deadly diseases. She encouraged the club to organise awareness programmes in the district to make people aware ....

Nagaland: NYKS celebrates Yuva Utsav in Zunheboto

DIMAPUR Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Zunheboto, under the ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, government of India, celebrated Yuva Utsav at Cornerstone Higher Secondary School on May 25 with the deputy commissioner (DC) of Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, as the special guest on the theme “Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal.” Speaking on the occasion, the DC explained about Yuva Utsav and reminded the declaration made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15, 2022, that the next 25 years (2022-2047) would be ‘golden years,’ where India would continue to develop rapidly. He stated that the youth today are doing very well in every field and cited the example on the recently declared class 10 and class 12 results where the students have done very well, while four Naga youth have also passed the UPSC exams. He encouraged the students to do well not only in studies but also learn employable skills so that they would not be dependent on others in future, stated a DIPR ....
