Top Shelf International has revealed its new agave spirit will be market-ready in September, marking the major milestone for the Eden Lassie farm south of Bowen. It will deliver a uniquely Whitsunday product to the Australian market which has proven to be among the largest consumers of tequila behind only the US and Mexico. And all projections show that trend continuing, a factor Melbourne-based distiller Top Shelf International is keen to tap into, adding to its Ned Whisky and Grainshaker vodka product range. ....
Premium Content Subscriber only Sarina shoppers will be among the first in Queensland to experience the new Kmart concept store when it opens its doors tomorrow. The K Hub outlet will officially open to shoppers at 9am after a refurbishment of the former Target store. The first K Hub stores in Queensland will open on Friday, with outlets in Sarina, Beerwah and Chinchilla the first in the state. Eight new jobs were created in the transformation from Target to K Hub while 13 of the former Target team members opted for transfers to the new concept outlet. The K Hub store will carry Kmart’s more popular products across its various lines but will be geared toward the online shopping market. ....
“We understand that not all of our customers choose to shop online, however we are committed to assisting our customers to help make this process an easier one, with a focus on explaining the attributes and features of Target online, including the accessibility and broad range of products on offer.” Sarina and Bowen are two towns to receive the new concept K-hub stores where Target once operated. The spokeswoman said the Bowen store would close at the end of January and re-open as a K-hub on February 3, while Target Sarina closed on January 9 and would re-open at K-hub on January 27. ....

World-first farm pitching program Cultivator, run by Cultivate Farms, will allow next generation farmers to share their vision with the panel in April. Cultivate Farms CEO Sam Marwood said farm ownership was out of reach for many next generation farmers who were not going to inherit or did not have the millions of dollars needed to buy in. “The traditional model of inheriting a farm or applying for a loan to buy a farm is broken,” Mr Marwood said. ....
