Hours after a condemning of violence in the borough. Reporter im going to get out of the way, we see one of the victims of the shooting hobbling into the house where the shooting took place. She had a wound on her shin. So, she didnt want to say much to us about what happened, but of course, police have filled us in. Halfway down this block is where the shooting took place at the red hook houses. Police have been on the scene here and have been since around a11 00 when police say the driveby happened. A car moved along white street, a gunman hit five people seriously injuring one person. Sources tell me its unclear if a second person was in the car. Again, as i said, one woman seen hobbling in, she had some sort of wound on at least her shin. This is a pretty residential area, with one person mistaking the gunshot for fireworks. I suspected it was just firecrackers which we hear a lot around here. Then i saw ambulances coming down and sirens, and i poked my head up and then there were ....
Certainly taken a turn backwards. Am i depressed . No. I am energized to move forward and to be sure to see the gains that we have encountered and had to come to us, that we have had to work so hard for, are not lost.
