Some of the demonstrators showed up and started throwing rocks and bricks at the Police Officers and they responded with force. As you said, the Baltimore Orioles canceled their game tonight at camden yard. Saturday night they kept their game when the demonstrations got close to the stadium and everybody had to stay inside after the end of it and tonight not taking any chances their wanting to get the situations under control and get people off the streets. Violent clashes between police and a loud crowd of teenagers at a mall in west baltimore. Some in the crowd were throwing rocks and bricks. Others jumped on this police victim. Youre listening to the Police Department and the mayor in baltimore where riots broke out today and after the funeral of freddie gray who died while in Police Custody from spinal injuries. Were following whats happening here locally as well, in case there are any companion protests and no word on that but well stay on top of it. Im dan ashley . And im cheryl jennings. Point. We canceled leave for all of our Police Officers so theyre deployed on the streets as we speak. Each shift is fully staffed. We called in outside resources from all over the state of maryland to give us an assist here. Were not going to tolerate this. Our priorities right now is to restore order in the city our priorities right now is officer safety and the safety of the community. Thank you. Good evening. Martin luther king where people were destroying their own stores and properties in their own community. This is unacceptable. This is not what freddie grays family wanted. They asked that there be no pro tests, marches, anything of that nature today. And the organizers of those marches are not participating in what is taking place today. As the mayor has sta ....

And one officer was actually found unconscious. This is according to the Baltimore Police department. All are now receiving treatment. We have seen the crowds looting stores. And that is what wolf was just talking about, that cvs was looted. You can see people running in and completely emptying that store, breaking the windows, destroying it. A Check Cashing store also looted a liquor store. Once this looting started, there was very little if any Police Presence actually seen at any of those locations. Its a stark contrast when the riot first broke out this afternoon when heavily armed Police Clashed with protesters on the streets. There was fighting going on. Handtohand combat, if you will, multiple arrests. Maryland state police are ordering an additional 40 sta ....
