Cynthia today grassley said , after giving it more thought, he implied he wouldnt rule out Holding Hearings on an obama nominee, but would only say senator grassley i will take it a step at a time. He hasnt nominated anyone yet. Cynthia the constitution states the president can nominate with the advice and consent of the senate. Matt sinovac, who questioned grassley about the process, was not pleased with his answers. The kept repeating that we will take it one step at a time, but he tried to be very vague and continued to play political games with this nomination process. From the iowa utilities board on the controversial bakken oil pipeline. The board met today to review the pros and cons of the project. The pipeline would cut through 18 iowa counties. The board did move into closed session, but did not announce a decision, before adjourning late this afternoon. Stacey theres a high wind advisory in effect today. Semi trucks traveling on the interstate are at especially high risk of rollover. This semi truck is on its side off i35, near ellsworth. Driver david warren says he dropped a load in des moines and was heading to albert lea, minnesota to reload. His empty trailer didnt have much weight and got caught in the wind. There is a transgenger population here, and there is a population here that dont adhere to the gender binary in one way or another. Emmy the single unit rest rooms are privately located in the library for staff to monitor the students that use it. This isnt like if you are transgender, you have to use just a second option. Emmy but not everyone who uses the space is on board with this just yet, saying it will take time to get used to. With transgender, so to say so i just different. That if the change can make an impact on even one person, then it is worth it. We have a responsibility to make sure that as the adults in this building to make sure that our students feel included, feel safe.
