reporter: a southern california woman with stage iv cancer who claims vincent gamble duped her into spending $2,000 on bogus treatments including mixing of a concoction at his office that included a baggy of dirt. i stupidly mixed it up and put it in my mouth and then i said it s burning a little bit. he said that means it s working. reporter: he is out on bail charged with practicing medicine and furnishing drugs without a license. he had a large stash of prescription drugs at his home and in an office some of it powerful like morphine much of it out of date. we located well over 25,000 doses of prescription medication. reporter: he appears on this website for his natural oncology institute where he claims to treat cancer patients with a wide variety of affordable options. the patients must have somewhere to go where they can get straight unbiassed answers without someone sizing them up for money. he is expected back in court in ventura county next month. in ....
really a god send. the city says it will have dumpsters in all three of the areas inundated by floodwaters. some of the people who have been allowed to return to their homes include residents who live at this apartment building at 12th and keys. this is what it looked like on tuesday. people who live in the river bend mobile home park are also being allowed to go back home now. the hardest hit area was the rock springs neighborhood. some residents are now going back home to see if anything is left. wayne freedman is live in san jose with more on that part of the story. wayne. reporter: well, we were just here listening to that press conference a few moments ago so we moved from the rock springs neighborhood. but what we saw out there today, whatever you think these neighborhoods to be, it s much worse than ever. let s show you some pictures from earlier in rock springs, some video. we saw streets filled with mud, caked cars, and all around us the former reside ....
but to shoot and kill the dog. abc7 news reporter katie utehs has the story. reporter: concord police shot and killed a family dog that moments earlier attacked a 10-month-old boy. to dog was very aggressive, actually. took an aggressive stance towards our officer and that s why our officer discharged his firearm. reporter: an officer ran inside to get the baby. when the officer pulled him out, the quite the emotional scene. having to wrap his head. reporter: the boy underwent surgery at oakland children s hospital after suffering bites to the head. he s expected to be okay. but his 7-year-old brother is struggling after witnessing the traumatic attack. the 7-year-old started screaming, which caught mom s attention. mom came in there, was able to pull the child away, and prevent any further attack. and that probably saved his life. reporter: the german shepherd mastiff mix named charlie was 80 pounds. the mother stepped out of the room for a moment before ....
of fremont street in concord. sky7 was over the home where a year and a half old shepherd mix named charlie reportedly attacked the 10-month-old child. his mother was in a room nearby. the child sustained injuries to his head. 911 was called, and he was rushed to the hospital. abc7 news reporter laura anthony spoke with concord police about what happened. very tense and a very scary scene when they were getting this call. when we get here, the dog is actually still running freely throughout the yard. one of our biggest challenges was getting to that child, getting that child out safely without having one of our officers get charged by the dog. we were able to successfully do that. the child is doing pretty well now, but unfortunately that dog was neutralized by one of our officers. police say the family had raised the dog as a pup, and it had never shown any signs of aggression before. we re going to have more on this story ahead on abc7 news at 11:00 over on channe ....
thank you for joining us. i m dan ashley. ama daetz has this evening off. the cessna 310 was on its way from riverside to san jose and came down about a half mile from the riverside municipal airport. search teams are looking for three, maybe five victims on board the plane was a husband and a wife and three teenagers. san gentlemjose group had been a cheerleading competition and heading back when the plane went down. two homes were destroyed and 30 people were evacuated from nearby houses. riverside fire chief michael moore and plains how the teenagerimpact, the plane split apart and luckily, she was ejected and very minor injuries, even though we re treating her at a critical patient. she had very minor injuries. truly amazing. the plane was broken into hundreds of pieces, just shattered. the propeller sitting on the roof of a nearby house and the fire burning with jet fuel was ablaze several hours after the crash. terrible scene. the san francisco s market street ....
