CLEMSON, S.C. – Following their success in the classroom, 14 Tigers have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team for women’s soccer as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. With 14 honorees, this marks the second-highest amount in program history. Last season, Clemson set a new program-record with 15. Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. The athletic requirement for student-athletes is to have played in at least 50 percent of competition. Megan Bornkamp, Hal Hershfelt and Caroline Conti all picked up their fourth All-ACC Academic honor as Clemson was the only school in the conference to have three athletes earn the honor for the fourth time in their career. CLEMSON, S.C. – After setting the new all-time Clemson record for single-season shutouts with 13, Halle Mackiewicz has been named the ACC Goalkeeper of the Year for the first time in her career. Clemson also had nine Tigers named throughout the First Team All-ACC, Third Team All-ACC and the All-Freshman Team, the conference announced on Wednesday. Voting for the awards was conducted by the league’s 14 head coaches. In the 2023 season alone, Mackiewicz has recorded 13 total clean sheets, to set the new Clemson all-time record for single-season shutouts. The keeper has tallied up 44 saves this season and has started all 19 matches for the Tigers. BLACKSBURG, Va. – The No. 9 Clemson Tigers earned their 10th victory of the regular season as they took down Virginia Tech, 1-0 on Sunday. Graduate Caroline Conti recorded the lone goal of the match and officially tallies 66 career points as a Tiger. “This is a good win for us, Virginia Tech is a good team and you are playing them on their home field. I was pleased that we were able to have a little bit more domination of the game, which is difficult to do up here,” Head Coach Eddie Radwanski said. “I like that we created some goal scoring opportunities, we got a good goal and our defensive group was resolute.
