It was an all-and-all great performance, it’s nice to get the shutout and I just thought the level of concentration was very good.” Despite the match being delayed due to lightning, the Tigers came out strong on the pitch as they opened up scoring early in the first half. In the 9th minute, freshman Jenna Tobia found herself in scoring position after graduate Caroline Conti cut across the field and passed the ball into her possession. Sophomore Emma Wennar earned the lone goal for the Tigers and goalkeeper Halle Mackiewicz picked up two saves. “It was a good game tonight, it was good to face a little bit of adversity on the road and see what kind of response we get. We love the response we got, to come back and tie the game up and create opportunities to make a win. I saw a lot of resilience, grit and heart out there and these are ingredients that you will need to become a champion so I’m proud of our performance here today,” Head Coach Eddie Radwanski said. After a back-and-forth battle, both teams finished the first half of the match scoreless as the Tigers and the Bulldogs both looked to secure the win in the second half. In the 49th minute, Summer Denigan was able to knock one through a group of Tigers and past Mackiewicz on the left
