This afternoon and Martha Maccallum and is the story. Is breaking at the same time in a few locations right here in New York City. On this block in manhattan inside the courthouse President Trump is inside the room and he is battling the judge over gag orders, listening two hours of hours of testimony about the check and who who signed the check. We will go there live in minutes with an update from the courtroom but meanwhile uptown all hell broke loose. Students broke the windows, jammed open the doors then lock the doors, there are no occupying the Columbia University building which is named for founding father Alexander Hamilton as the university continues essentially to just put another statement but theyre not really doing anything. From the scene of a freeway shooting in oakland. That shooting triggered a crash that tied up the evening commute for hours. Ktvu fox 2s Tara Moriarty joins us with what happened. Reporter yeah, police are searching for one person and they have made no arrests. As you know, the shooting did snarl traffic for hours. It happened yesterday afternoon around 4 00 in the eastbound lanes of 580 near the 980 interchange and the broadway exit. Two cars involved in the crash sat facing the wrong direction, the black one and then a light sedan smashed up and riddled with bullet holes. Now, officers say that this driver suffered a nonlife threatening gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital. Another driver was determined not to be involved in the shooting and was allowed to leave. Another person ran from the scene and that is obviously who police are looking for. Only one lane of traffic was open, so that clearly led to a huge backup just in time for that evening commute. Live from oakland, im
