Apparently attacked inside her home. Darcy spencer is live in Capitol Heights tonight where police were canvassing the neighborhood this afternoon. Reporter i was able to talk to several maybes here in this community today. They all tell me that the victim was a nice woman. She was a kind woman. She lived right here in this house. She had trouble walking so she used a ramp here, and all these neighbors are struggling to understand how and why someone could kill her. We all look out for each other here in this neighborhood. I have been here ten years, and i have never heard anything like this happening before. Reporter this woman brought to tears as she talked about the death of her neighbor, Geraldine Joyce mcintyre. The disabled woman lived for 71 years. That life came to a tragic end saturday. Thats when police found her hurt in her Capitol Heights home. She died at a hospital later that day. Investigators say that the people who live in that home were able to get out. They are okay. There is extensive damage to their home had. What started this blaze, is under investigation.
