In ireland a 31yearold woman went to the hospital in extreme pain. Turned out she was pregnant. She was told that her baby would not survive and she would miscarry. They said that would take only a few hours. She was in terrible pain for three days until the baby eventually died in his or her womb. One faction of one party in one house of congress in one branch of government doesnt get to shut down the entire government just to refight results of an election. Keeping the peoples government open is not a concession to me. Keeping Vital Services running and hundreds of thousands of americans on the job is not something you give to the other side. Its our basic responsibility. You dont get to extract a ransom for doing your job. For doing what youre supposed to be doing anyway. Or just because theres a law there that you dont like. Affordable care act is moving forward. That funding is already in place. You cant shut it down. Republicans cant shut it down. Its the law of the land. So lets be clear about whats happening.
