The search is on for who ever built this device, placed at the home here at 18th and pine, designed to do exactly what it did, which is explode when the victim opened it, around 4 00 this morning. Active scene at 18th street and pine, hours after explosive device detonated on the block of this normally quiet Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. The scene right now is in the kitchen. There is broken glass, damage to the range, where would you cook, there is some blood. Rich art ross saying this is a targeted attack, ross saying it appears the bomber placed the package at the home sometime monday t did not go through the mail, but designed to look like it did. Man with the rifle approached and demanded money. I turned like i would get my wallet, but i was just stalling. He hit me hard in the back of the head with the gun. Reporter it was just before 11 00 oclock thursday night, pastor cook, his wife and that are son had just returned to the 1,000 block of pratt street from a concert, when the attempted robber did not know both cook and his wife are licensed to carry. His wife had her gun. And i heard, my wife, saying tropical the gun. She has got her gun. He turned towards her, and i said shoot him. The shoot him. She shot him. Underway. Now this fire started before 1c a. M. On the 1100 block of arrott street in frank forwards, this is 3story brick vacant Apartment Building. Fire officials tell us the fire started on the second floor if the back, again, because it is vacant building the fire is being considered suspicious. Again, there was actually another fire one week ago. And the fire marshall is actually still investigating that fire. Meantime, it took crews just about two hours to get this fire under control this morning. And dozens of firefighters remain on scene this morning. Now, eight people from one of the neighboring homes had to be evacuated as a precaution, told many of them staying with family, just as soon as the scene is cleared, they will be allowed to go back into their home, of course, it is a very cold morning to be out of your home. Weather is just one of the difficulties fire crews are dealing with. It is just stubborn, access is difficult, you can see, we have some trees in front, some

So, with the possibility of further collapse, firefighters worked outside after collapse zone, dousing stubborn flames with water. One of the things that makes it so stubborn, when the roof collapses, the material that makes a roof somewhat waterproof prevents our water from getting out. Eight people from neighboring home had to be evacuated as a precaution, and they are becoming all too familiar with fire, officials tell us, there was another fire here at the vacant building just one week ago. It appears it is what suspicious given that no one lives there, no utilities in place. Back out here on scene, you can see, firefighters still dealing with hot spots behind me, and all of the ice being coated on the tree, definitely very cold night to be out here doing this type of work this morning. They will determine a cause, little bit later on today, theyll start that cause investigation
