Tallahassee, Fla. – The No.16/NR Florida State swimming and diving teams will host Tampa at 2 p.m., at the Morcom Aquatics Center on Friday. Prior to the meet at approximately 1:45 p.m., the Seminoles will recognize 18 senior student-athletes for their achievements in and out of the pool. The meet will follow the 13-event college dual meet format but will only compete in swimming races. The divers will compete at a two-day competition in Atlanta, Ga., against Miami, Georgia Tech, and Auburn. Tallahassee, Fla. – The No. 16/RV Florida State swimming and diving teams will hit the road to face NR/No. 25 LSU on Saturday at 11 a.m., at the LSU Natatorium. The 16th-ranked men enter the contest 2-1 with victories over Florida Southern and Georgia Tech, while the RV women boast a 5-1 record with wins over FSC, North Florida, West Florida, Georgia Tech, and Miami. Both squads fell to No. 10/9 Georgia. “We’re looking forward to getting back into dual meets,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “LSU has a very good team. They have a couple of Olympic gold medalists on both sides, so we’ll have our hands full. We’re looking to compete hard with them and see what we can do after finishing our great training block of the season.” The meet will follow the 16-event format with teams racing in the 100’s and 200’s of each stroke in addition to the 50, 500, 1000 (1650) free, as well as the 200 IM.
