Noles Head to LSU Saturday

Tallahassee, Fla.  – The No. 16/RV Florida State swimming and diving teams will hit the road to face NR/No. 25 LSU on Saturday at 11 a.m., at the LSU Natatorium. The 16th-ranked men enter the contest 2-1 with victories over Florida Southern and Georgia Tech, while the RV women boast a 5-1 record with wins over FSC, North Florida, West Florida, Georgia Tech, and Miami. Both squads fell to No. 10/9 Georgia. “We’re looking forward to getting back into dual meets,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “LSU has a very good team. They have a couple of Olympic gold medalists on both sides, so we’ll have our hands full. We’re looking to compete hard with them and see what we can do after finishing our great training block of the season.” The meet will follow the 16-event format with teams racing in the 100’s and 200’s of each stroke in addition to the 50, 500, 1000 (1650) free, as well as the 200 IM. The meet will begin with the 200 medley relay and finish with the 400 free rel ....

Noles Set for CSCAA Open Water Championships

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  –  Members of the No.16/RV Florida State swimming and diving teams will race in the CSCAA College National Open Water Championship on Sunday in Biscayne Bay. The event is hosted by Florida International University.

The men’s 5K will start at 8:30 AM and the women’s 5K will follow at 10 a.m. The top five finishers in each gender will earn a bid to the 2023 USA Swimming 5K Open Water Championship.

“We are excited to try our hands at open water,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “It is something a few of our athletes have done before and we’re happy to offer this opportunity to them. We’re not sure what to expect, but I think that’s the fun part and we’re excited to go tomorrow!”
