Champions! FSU Men Capture ACC Championship

DURHAM, N.C. - The Florida State men's track and field team put together one of the most dominant performances in ACC history in route to their second-straight ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The Noles scored 149 points, the most since the league expanded to 15 teams, and won by 56 points, the largest margin of victory since league expansion. The women's team finished third with 99 points. Jeremiah Davis (men's field) and Edidiong Odiong (women's track) were each named Most Valuable Performers which is given the athlete who scored the most points throughout the championship. It takes everyone to accomplish something like this. Coaches, support staff, trainers, massage therapists and administration, everyone is a part of this, Head Coach Bob Braman said. Noles Men on Top Going into Championship Saturday

DURHAM, N.C - The Florida State track and field team put together great performances on both the track and the field on day two of the ACC Outdoor Championships in Durham, N.C. The men are on top of the team standings with 50 points while the women are in eighth with 24 points. I'm really pleased with how we are performing so far. We are just feeding off each other in each event, Head Coach Bob Braman said. We had a great day of qualifying. We've put ourselves in really good position for tomorrow, and I couldn't be more pleased. Riley Ott kicked things off on Friday with a gutsy performance in the decathlon. Ott posted personal bests in the 110m hurdles (15.44), the discus throw (32.14m), the javelin throw (51.05m) and the 1500m run (4:40.21) in route to a personal best score of 7105 points to earn him third. Cunningham Shines; Five Noles Crack FSU Top Ten List in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla - After a great start to the Tom Jones Memorial on Friday, the Noles picked up right where they left off on Saturday. Five Noles cracked the FSU all-time top ten list, including Trey Cunningham who broke Arthur Blake's 35-year old record in the 110m hurdles. Another really good day for our group. What Trey did to run 13.21 in his season opener is almost unheard of. Our sprinters and jumpers had a really good day as well, Head Coach Bob Braman said. Cunningham shined in his first race since the NCAA Indoor Championships on Mar. 12. Cunningham tied his personal best in the 110m hurdles with a school record time of 13.21. Cunningham's time is currently the fastest in the world and also ties him for the 10th-fastest time in NCAA history. He also has the top time in the NCAA this season. Nwanaga, Odiong Capture FSU All-Time Performances

Tallahassee, Fla. –  The Florida State track and field teams saw 12 personal best performances of Friday at FSU Relays at the Mike Long Track. Kelechi Nwanga and Edidiong Odiong contributed their career bests that were among the all-time top 10 performances in FSU history. Nwanaga led the Noles to a one-two finish in the women’s javelin in dominating fashion, measuring at 55.06m, edging her previous best of 54.93.  She still holds the second-best performance in FSU history but inched closer to the school record (55.59m) that was set back in 2018 by Lauri Paredes. Odiong crossed the line first in the women’s 100m with a career best time of 11.28, which now ties for seventh in FSU history. Her previous best was 11.37, set last year and just shy of the FSU all-time top 10. We had a really good day today, Head Coach Bob Braman said.
