Noles Continue Outdoor Season at USF

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State track and field program will be competing at the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Fla., this Friday. The meet is split over two days with the men competing on Friday and the women competing on Saturday, but the Noles will just be sending a select group of men to compete on Friday. The men's sprinters, Jacore Irving, Jeremiah Davis and Nick Napier will all be competing on Friday. The Noles added this meet to the schedule on Tuesday after weather altered their plans last weekend at the Pepsi Florida Relays. The Noles competed on Friday but only three athletes were able to compete on Saturday before a six hour rain delay. The Noles did not compete following the delay. Nwanaga, Odiong Capture FSU All-Time Performances

Tallahassee, Fla. –  The Florida State track and field teams saw 12 personal best performances of Friday at FSU Relays at the Mike Long Track. Kelechi Nwanga and Edidiong Odiong contributed their career bests that were among the all-time top 10 performances in FSU history. Nwanaga led the Noles to a one-two finish in the women’s javelin in dominating fashion, measuring at 55.06m, edging her previous best of 54.93.  She still holds the second-best performance in FSU history but inched closer to the school record (55.59m) that was set back in 2018 by Lauri Paredes. Odiong crossed the line first in the women’s 100m with a career best time of 11.28, which now ties for seventh in FSU history. Five Noles Pick Up Individual Titles at FSU Relays

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State track and field and field program had a strong first day at the FSU Relays at the Mike Long Track in Tallahassee, Fla. The Noles competed alongside the University of Georgia, the University of South Florida, Georgia Tech, Dartmouth, and Syracuse. We had a really strong first day. Megan in the hammer really set the tone for the day and secured a regional mark, and we had a really good end to the day in the women's 5000m. We can't wait to get back at it tomorrow, Head Coach Bob Braman said. Megan Cook set the tone and began the day by placing first in the hammer throw while throwing 61.25m, hitting a new personal record. The Noles went three-for-three in the throws as Amani Heaven and Milton Ingraham each picked up wins in the shot put.  Heaven earned first place throwing for 15.36m while Ingraham posted a throw of 16.55m Jeremiah Davis placed first in the long jump, jumping for a distance of 7.46m. Noles Begin Indoor Season at Clemson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State track and field team will head to Clemson, S.C. on Friday for the Clemson Opener. Friday's meet will be the earliest start of the season since the 2018-19 season when they began the year on Dec. 1 at the Colyear-Danville BU Opener in Boston, Mass. Field events will begin at 10 a.m. with running events slated to start at 11:40 a.m. Friday's 17-team field will be highlighted by FSU and their in-state rival Florida as the top two teams in the field. The Noles will also be joined by ACC counterparts Clemson and Georgia Tech as well as South Carolina. Previewing the Noles FSU enters the 2021-22 season with a load of experience, as they return a combined 18 (11 men, 7 women) All-ACC indoor athletes from last season. which is second in the conference. Men s Sprints Dominated on Day Three of NCAA East Regional

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida State men’s track and field dominated on day three of the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds at The University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium. The Seminoles punched in 10 additional tickets to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. “Our men had one of our best Region meets ever,” said head coach Bob Braman. “We competed beyond our expectations. The men hit on 10 of 12 National qualifying opportunities today, that’s unheard of! We’re in a really good spot for a trophy finish (Top 4) at Nationals. And you never know when things break your way and something amazing happens. Proud of all of them!” The sprint’s squad put on a show, punching 7 of the 10 tickets on Friday.
