Cunningham Named National Indoor Track Scholar-Athlete of the Year; 19 Noles Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. - 19 Florida State track and field athletes were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Wednesday afternoon. 10 women and nine men were named to the team. Four athletes accomplished a 4.00 GPA for the spring semester. I'm very proud of all of our athletes on this list. We have had great academic success over the years in our program, and this year was no different, Head Coach Bob Braman said. On the women's side, three athletes recorded 4.0 GPA's. CoSIDA Academic All-Americans Maudie Skyring and Ruby Stauber were each named to the list. Stauber is getting her masters in sport management while Skyring is pursuing her degree in exercise physiology. Alyson Churchill also had a 4.0 during the spring as she pursues her degrees in psychology and international affairs. Three more Seminoles, Amanda Beach, Ka'Tia Seymour and Sara Zabarino, each earned a 3.9 GPA or higher. Among the 10 athletes who were named to the team, eight of them earned a 3.7 GPA or h ....

Skyring and Stauber Named COSIDA Academic All-Americans

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State track and field athletes Maudie Skyring and Ruby Stauber were both named COSIDA Academic All-Americans Tuesday afternoon. Skyring was named a First-Team Academic All-American for the first time in her career while Ruby Stauber earned Second-Team Academic All-America honors. Skyring is the first Seminole to earn first-team honors since Stefan Brits in 2016.

"We've been fortunate to have many Academic All-Americans throughout our history, and it is exciting to be able to add to that tradition with Maudie and Ruby. I believe this is the highest honor our student-athletes can receive while they are here at Florida State, and I'm really proud of both Ruby and Maudie for their work both academically and athletically," Head Coach Bob Braman said.

Skyring and Stauber Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Maudie Skyring and Ruby Stauber were honored for their work on and off the track Wednesday afternoon as they were both named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team. There are eight districts each for both the men and women with 11 athletes being named to each division. Both Skyring and Stauber have been exception in the classroom. Both boast 4.0 GPA's with Skyring majoring in exercise physiology and Stauber majoring in sport management. On the track, Stauber picked up an ACC title in the 800m run in her first year with the Noles. She will look to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., in the event on Saturday. Skyring has had a phenomenal outdoor season after coming off an injury. She finished second in the 1500m run, tying her personal best time of 4:09.83. Champions! FSU Men Capture ACC Championship

DURHAM, N.C. - The Florida State men's track and field team put together one of the most dominant performances in ACC history in route to their second-straight ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The Noles scored 149 points, the most since the league expanded to 15 teams, and won by 56 points, the largest margin of victory since league expansion. The women's team finished third with 99 points. Jeremiah Davis (men's field) and Edidiong Odiong (women's track) were each named Most Valuable Performers which is given the athlete who scored the most points throughout the championship. Noles Men on Top Going into Championship Saturday

DURHAM, N.C - The Florida State track and field team put together great performances on both the track and the field on day two of the ACC Outdoor Championships in Durham, N.C. The men are on top of the team standings with 50 points while the women are in eighth with 24 points. I'm really pleased with how we are performing so far.
