joining us now in florida. reporter: hurricane matthew continuing to turn. it s now left the state of florida and has allowed people to get out and assess the damage left behind. here in daytona thankfully only cosmetic damage. no significant structural damage in this area. eyes are on jacksonville now to see what flooding could bring as well as the georgia an north carolina coast. the power is still out in some areas and it s left it eeriely dark. it s hard to see much of anything right here. hurricane matthew made its way into daytona beach. debris being blown in, coming on to the beach surge. nothing too significant. that s the good news here. blessings because they knew if the eye wall had crossed on to land like it was predicted to do it could be much worse being subjected into well over 100- mile an hour winds. the concern now for the georgia- carolina coast. a lot of people still in harm s way from this storm. it s going to have several more days that it can ca ....
