and some people are saying, well, they're listening to misinformation. you know, a lot of the reasons that they have are logical. and, you know, while i may disagree with some -- you know, i'm vaccinated heist -- that's what america's all about, the ability to pick and choose what you want to do as an individual. especially ad medical decision like this which is so important. are you going to be vaccinated or not. that's a personal decision. that's not something that the federal government should be mandating especially when it's going to really cause, you know, problems up and down the economy of the united states. will: you think the supply chain is broken now, wait until 20 if, even 10% of federal express or ups' work force says we're not ready or amazon. wait until everything gets shut down. pete: congressman, i hope you're right about mandates. real quick to that second topic, yes, the democrats are in-fighting right now, but what would you handicap the likelihood they come together around a number, around 2 trillion, that's the latest we're hearing for that reconciliation bill? still expensive, but do you think they find a way to forge it? >> well, look, i thought they would come to some kind of agreement, but now when joe manchin put out that tweet, he didn't just talk about numbers, he talked about programs. and those programs embedded in that reconciliation is really, that's the poison right there, the programs. it's not the amount. remember, they can always reduce the amount by just simply reducing the number of years where it's authorized so you have something that -- actually, the whole thing costs close to $6 trillion if you score it out over ten years. they've tricked it down to 3.5 by some of these programs being authorized three or four years. they can retrick that by two or three years and get it down to $2 trillion. but it's the programs and policies that's embedded in that, and i am heartened by what joe manchin wrote in that tweet, there are programs in there that he's not voting for. i think that now that's a fly in the ointment of the democrats' plans. pete: again, i hope you're right. it's always been about what they could slip in and hoping they could reauthorize it again. congreman, thank you so much for your time the, great stuff. >> my pleasure. have a great weekend. rachel: you're right, he's so right, it's about the programs, it's about the dependency that they're trying to normalize in our country and kill that work ethic. will: you know, i think you can sometimes be tricked into thinking that references to cuba or the soviet union or being hyperbolic, paneling if rating as he said -- exaggerating, as he said in there, the bernie sanders honeymoon. i didn't remember that -- rachel: yeah, he did. will: i was thinking it was a mayor of new york city, bill de blasio. no, that was cuba. two shots at the national guard. they had the texas rangers investigate. when i talk to my sources they put it simply, during the trump administration they were going after the cartel, made some headway, the drugs were still pouring in but they were in a defensive posture. since biden has been in office they have gotten bold, firing shots, you may have seen bill, the best border reporter on
