In total 11,320 people arrested by Sri Lanka Police for the aforementioned offenses from the 30th of October 2020, said Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana on Friday (21). Sri Lanka Police also conducted a special operation in the Western Province on Thursday (20) and 9,265 people were inspected on their compliance with the quarantine rules and regulations. 2,590 people were admonished by Sri Lanka Police for failing to wear the face mask in a proper manner while 94 people were arrested and enlarged on bail for failing to wear the face mask.

Sri Lanka Police carried out a special operations at 14 Exit and Entry points of the Western Province and inspected 1,967 vehicles including 3,634 passengers, who belong to essential services. This operation will continue along with foot & mobile patrols across the country, said the Police Spokesperson.
