A Noble Park man is accused of snatching elderly women’s handbags as he rode unlicensed aboard a scooter in a Dandenong Plaza car park.
Ali Ramazan, 23, sought a sentencing indication at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 27 April on a string of charges including two ride-away thefts and an aggravated burglary while on bail.
In the first theft, Ramazan allegedly rode up to a 73-year-old pushing a shopping trolley and snatched her bag in the McCrae Street car park on 21 August.
According to police, the victim fell to the ground as she tried to grab Ramazan, who fled the scene with her handbag and the $1000 cash inside.
There are two other vaccination sites in Lake County one in Leesburg and another in Clermont.

First-dose vaccinations are being administered at Lake Square Mall in Leesburg.
First and second doses are still being given at St. Patrick Catholic Church until the site shuts down on Tuesday afternoon. The DOH-Lake Community Health Site, 560 W. DeSoto Street in Clermont, is offering second doses by appointment only.

LEESBURG Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Monday that Florida will soon lower the age requirement for COVID-19 vaccine access.
During his press conference from the Florida State Capitol, DeSantis said the age eligibility for the vaccine will be reduced to include individuals aged 60 and older beginning on March 15.
With this latest change, Floridians eligible to get a coronavirus vaccine: long-term care facility residents and staff, residents aged 60 and older, frontline health care workers, and law enforcement officers, K-12 school personnel, and firefighters ages 50 and up.

SANTA ROSA BEACH Residents of Somerby Senior Living got an unusual visit Friday in the form of Mr. Peanut, the more than 100-year-old legume mascot of the Planters brand nuts.
Sporting his signature top hat and monocle, Mr. Peanut arrived at the assisted living facility in the Planters NUTmobile.
“The NUTmobile is a 26-foot peanut on wheels,” said Shannon Hope, who is one of nine crew members or “Peanutters” who drive Planters’ three NUTmobiles around the country for a year.
“We stop in a new city each week and our goal in every city is just to spread smiles and bring joy to the communities we visit, Hope said.
