The Drum Theatre is welcoming back audiences as part of launching its 2021 season.
The headline acts include Carmen by Opera Australia, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow and Tell Me Why by Archie Roach.
Bukjeh is one of first shows of the season, with Palestinian artist Aseel Tayah collaborating with Australian and international artists to share the experience of migration and the refugee experience.
Set in a disaster relief tent, Bukjeh is a series of interactive installations and performances.
It invites the audience into the suitcases, sacks and pockets of those who have had to leave home, exploring their feelings, emotions and experiences.
LEESBURG The Florida Department of Health in Sumter County received additional doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this week over prior allocations, with 10,000 first doses and 1,000 second doses.
The health department will also receive an additional 6,700 second doses today. Additional doses of the vaccine have been distributed in part to The Villages Hospital, Florida Cancer Specialists and Langley Health Services.
Meanwhile, vaccination efforts continue in Lake County at two sites and Global Medical Response continues to operate a a vaccine site in Sumterville.
While the GMR has been operating at Lake Sumter State College, the provider will soon change locations.
GMR will move to St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood on March 8, which will support an expansion of vaccination throughput. GMR will contact patients scheduled for March 8 and beyond to ensure a smooth transition between locations.
Where can I get vaccinated?
First-dose vaccinations are being administered at Lake Square Mall in Leesburg. Second doses are being given at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6803 Old Hwy. 441 South in Mount Dora.
The Villages site is located at 3800 Wedgewood Lane.
All locations are drive-thru sites, and you must be a Florida resident to receive the shot.
