Juneau Police had responded to a shoplift-in-progress at a downtown business Sunday and after responding to the business, a responding officer saw a man that had a matching description of the suspect near City Hall.
The man was later identified as 31-year-old Steve Allen Kissack.
When an officer stopped to make contact, Kissack drew a fixed blade knife from a sheath on his side and starting walking towards the officer in a threatening manner according to the release.
