Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A lawsuit against Juneau Police over a fatal shooting last December was dismissed earlier this month from U.S. District Court.
Attorney Ben Crittenden released a statement from Kevin and Virginia Stephens, the parents of the man killed in the shooting, Kelly Stephens. They filed a lawsuit stating that they were forced to do so because they were unable to get any information from the Juneau Police Department. It took a lawsuit for the Juneau Police Department to release information to the Stephens family and public.
