Girl Scout creates a place to sit down for patrons at the Berlin Public Library
BERLIN - A love of her library - and Girl Scouting - has led a Clinton resident to create a Girl Scout Silver Award that is something to sit down about.
Clinton resident Eilidh McCobb, an eighth-grader at AMSA, is a member of Troop 75302, Hudson-Berlin Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts.
She donated her project to the Berlin Public Library, where she is a patron. For my Silver Award project, I knew I wanted to do something with the library, because I love reading and libraries are some of my favorite spaces, Eilidh said. I asked for some recommendations for projects I could do to help the library, and I decided on this one, making cushions for the kids to sit on during story times.
