JFS chosen as a Winn-Dixie Community Bag beneficiary

JFS chosen as a Winn-Dixie Community Bag beneficiary   June 4, 2021 JFS Orlando was selected as the June beneficiary of the Winn-Dixie Community Bag program by store leadership at the Winn-Dixie located at 7800 South Highway 17-92, Fern Park. The organization will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during June, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag. “We are very grateful to have been chosen for the Community Bag program in June,” said Philip Flynn, executive director of JFS Orlando. “Every little bit counts towards our work to provide vital serv.

Island Briefs Senior Prom-ish BAR HARBOR Members of the Mount Desert Island High School Class of 2021 pose while attending their “prom-ish” on Sunday. With the help of donations from the community and the hard work of a group of parents and other class supporters, the 91 seniors in attendance were able to celebrate a time-honored rite of passage during the COVID era. There were 150 people in attendance at the event that was held at the Bar Harbor Club. The Class of 2021 wishes to thank everyone for their donations and support.   Amplified live music   BAR HARBOR The Town Council approved a new ordinance last week that will allow businesses in town to have live amplified outdoor acoustic music.
