Michael L. Alberts has been selected President and CEO of
Jewett City Savings Bank effective Sept. 8 upon the retirement of Kevin Merchant. Since 2015 Alberts has served as the Senior Commercial Loan Officer and member of the bank's senior management team. Formerly first selectman of Woodstock, he served 12 years as a state legislator.
