Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library was selected by Stop & Shop located at 539-571 Boston Turnpike as a benefiting nonprofit in its Community Bag program.
In March, the Friends will receive a $1 donation from each purchase of a reusable Community Bag that retails for $2.50 at the Stop & Shop store.
The Stop & Shop Community Bag program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
“In this time of uncertainty due to COVID-19, supporting local non-profits has never been more important,” stated Sarah Scott, program manager, Community Bag program.

Stop & Shop Ridgefield, CT Selects ROAR as Designated Non-profit to Receive Donation from Purchase of Each Reusable Community Bag During February 2021
Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR), a non-profit animal rescue organization in Ridgefield, CT that specializes in the compassionate treatment and adoption of homeless pets, was recently selected by local Stop & Shop Ridgefield store leadership as a benefiting non-profit in the Community Bag Program. For the month of February 2021, ROAR will receive a $1 donation from each purchase of the $2.50 reusable Community Bag at the Stop & Shop store located at 125 Danbury Road, Ridgefield CT. The donation will automatically go to ROAR.
