While the exact extent of involvement of those who were present during the shooting is still under investigation, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 27-year-old Joseph Chavez on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. “He is considered armed and dangerous,” Lt. Melvin Castillo of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office told the Daily Press. “We would strongly request that no citizen approach him. We request that they contact law enforcement immediately.”
