Brigadier Gen. Franco Simborio, the Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula (PRO-9) director, identified the suspects as Alvin Panchito, 37, driver, and his assistant, Elvin Castillo, 43. May 19, 2021 By HANNAH DUMAS Daily Press Correspondent After investigating a May 5 report of an alleged robbery at gunpoint, the Grant County Sheriff’s Department, in conjunction with the District Attorney’s Office, has decided to no longer pursue the case, Lt. Melvin Castillo said Tuesday. The department’s investigation concluded that the supposed victim, a 28-year-old man working as a FedEx driver, was not credible. “The detective that investigated the case briefed with the DA, and due to lack of witness cooperation, the case has been left unfounded and closed,” Castillo said. “The driver has been found to be uncredible.”
