You don’t have to take LeVar Burton’s word for it that he’d make a solid guest host on “Jeopardy!”
The beloved actor and director, who played engineer Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge in “Star Trek” and Kunta Kinte in ABC’s “Roots” along with hosting “Reading Rainbow” for 23 years, will close out season 37 of the famed quiz show among the lineup of guest hosts filling in for the late Alex Trebek.
For nearly a quarter-of-a-million fans who signed a Change.org petition backing the 64-year-old Emmy winner who has extensive gameshow experience including wins on celebrity editions of “Jeopardy!” and “The Weakest Link” the producers saved the best for last, tweeting Burton’s name (with an exclamation point, no less) under the other upcoming guest hosts, including

Douglas Dinwiddie gives a tour Saturday afternoon at the Fort Bayard Museum, which details the history of the national historic landmark located just north of Santa Clara.
Tours of the Fort Bayard Museum, which are organized by the Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society, have been on hiatus for the past year, as much of the state shut down due to COVID-19 but as of two weeks ago, they are back on schedule, according to Douglas Dinwiddie, Ph.D., historian and tour guide.
“We are happy to be back and running and welcoming visitors again,” he said. “We have lots of ambitious plans in the coming year or two.”
